MBASA Affiliated Clubs
The criteria applicable for recognition as an existing Model Boat Club to join MBASA are:
A Bona Fide Model Boat club in Southern Africa shall be eligible to apply for recognition of MBASA provided that:
- It caters for Model Boat Modellers.
- It has an equal share of time for all types of RC Boating it offers. (Sail, Scale and Speed)
- It agrees to abide by the code of conduct and constitution of MBASA.
- It has an ordinary membership of not less than 15 paid-up members.
- Its members agree to such Club’s constitution, code of conduct and disciplinary code which is enforceable and in turn meets the objectives and standards of MBA SA.
- It has a Radio Officer as defined in paragraph 2.4 of the MBA SA Bylaws.
- It will ensure that it will discipline its member should the member who has an user authorisation and does not act in the interest of MBASA or transgresses the rules and regulations of ICASA.
- It has been in existence for not less than twelve months.
- The Club will inform MBASA when a member’s membership terminates who has an user Authority from MBASA.
Recognised Model Boat Clubs will be eligible to nominate one member to serve on the Board of the Association.
